Since the rebranding of our company in 2016 we have stood by our core values and principles of providing a quality assured service to all clients new and old. H&A has a diverse and knowledgeable management team with years of experience in security, event and financial industries. Combined we have over 40 years knowledge within all sectors of the security industry. H&A Protection Services staff undergo regular personal and professional development to ensure their knowledge progression through such courses as University, Leadership Schemes and Upskilling.

Meet the team

H & A Protection Services LTD have a designated support team to ensure all staff on deployments have all the resources they need to get their jobs done to the highest professional standard. We believe in bettering ourselves, our team and our service continuously ensuring training and developing never stops.

Gareth Howlett

Managing Director

Managing Director Gareth comes from a military background leading into the security industry. With progressing into such roles as security supervisor, operations manager and Close Protection Officer (CPO) he has gained a vast amount of experience over the years working in different roles and climates. Having tasked on numerous high-risk deployments including celebrity security and asset protection, Gareth decided to adapt his career path into the world of dog handling.

Having qualified back in 2010 with awarding body NASDU, he and General Purpose Dutch Herder Jumbo have been a unified team ever since.Previously, he has worked for a specialist dog handling company before H&A Protection Services. More recently, Gareth has specialised in drug and pyrotechnic detection with fully accredited DD Rocky.

From this growth and wealth of experience, H&A Protection Services LTD has recently expanded into new premises with a core office team based in Preston. Gareth’s vision and determination to ensure staff welfare, correct procedures and only the best quality service will keep H&A on the right path.

Helen Hogsflesh

HR & Office Manager

With a background in administration and accounting Helen fitted straight into the set-up at H&A. With her previous role as head landlady at numerous pubs in Lancashire her attitude of being stern and punctual definitely keeps all of the office and operational team in check. From April 2019, Helen is on well-earned maternity having her second child, good luck Helen and enjoy the ‘rest’.
